Echo Sound Issue Set Up Instruction

Every sound card shows different settings. Whenever there is an echo, it means that the primary sound has not been muted.

You will need to double click on the little speaker icon in the lower right corner, click on options / properties, make sure playback is selected and click ok. Make sure that the input monitor, microphone and / or line in "Mute" check boxes are checked (if it is not checked, then the audio comes through all the time, and when our program requests audio, it runs it through the process and it comes to the speakers again - but a little delayed - giving an echo effect). Once those are checked, it should take care of the echo.

If there is no sound when playing our signage, then the input source is not selected correctly. Double click on the little speaker icon in the lower right corner, click on options / properties, make sure "recording" is selected and click ok. Check the "Select" check box by the one that has the audio wired in.

Another option (ONLY IF you are not playing videos) is to just bypass the computer entirely and wire the audio from the DVD / SATELLITE / CABLE BOX directly to the input source for the TV.
